How does Calmi Salmon Oil work?
It's pure Norwegian salmon oil, cold-pressed and unrefined, with nothing added. One pump over your dog's food adds EPA and DHA, the two omega-3s dogs can't make enough of on their own and that most kibble runs light on. Skin, coat and joints all draw on them.
How much do I give my dog?
One pump per 6.6 lbs (3 kg) of body weight, once a day, straight onto their food. A small dog needs a single pump; a large dog up to twelve. Start at the lower end the first week so their stomach adjusts. Never more than 12 pumps a day.
How long until I see a difference?
Weeks, not days, because the coat grows in gradually. Most owners notice less scratching and a softer coat around weeks three to four, with shine and less shedding by weeks five to eight. Easier movement builds over a similar stretch.
Can I give it to my cat too?
Yes. Use a smaller amount, around half a pump for an average cat, over their food.
Is it safe for puppies, seniors, or sensitive dogs?
It's food, not medication, so it suits most dogs at any age. Puppies start on half the amount for their weight. If your dog has a diagnosed health condition or takes medication, check with your vet first, as you would before adding anything new to their bowl.
How do I keep it fresh?
Somewhere cool and dark with the cap closed; a cupboard is fine. Use it within a couple of months of opening. Fresh salmon oil smells like fish. If it smells sour, it has turned.
